Music & Drama

The Music Department at Oakfield is both successful and vibrant.
All pupils have a class music lesson each week in which to sing,
investigate the music of the world, and play various instruments.
There are many opportunities for music within the school for
different age ranges, irrespective of ability, from singing in the
choir to playing in the recorder club. Concerts and musical
productions form an integral part of life at Oakfield, giving
pupils the opportunity to display their skills in music and
drama. Regular music recitals are held throughout the year, where
both beginners and experienced musicians perform in front of small
audiences.
We have an outstanding team of peripatetic music teachers
who visit to teach musical instruments including violin,
guitar, piano, trumpet and singing.
