'Oakfield Preparatory School, part of charity CfBT Education Trust, is a school where ‘asignificant amount of teaching is excellent’ and where ‘teachers have high expectations and a strong rapport with their pupils, whom they enthuse with a love of learning'.

The ISI report also stated that ‘teachers are well qualified, secure in their subject knowledge and teach with confidence.’ Pupils’ progress is supported by effective teaching, a well arranged curriculum and the strong features of leadership and management. Pupils have been successful at gaining places and a good number of scholarships at prestigious senior schools. Their development owes much to the high quality of pastoral care, the purposeful ethos of the school and the worthwhile values it promotes'.
