Upper Foundation Admissions

Children are admitted into Upper Foundation in the September after their fourth birthday as full-time pupils. Around 60 places are available each year for four Reception classes. Observations take place prior to entry the following criteria are used:

Category 1: Children already attending Oakfield in Lower Foundation

Category 2: Children with a sibling at Oakfield

We are a non-selective school and therefore our aim when offering places is to gain an equal mix of boys and girls (when possible) as well as a fair mix of birth dates across the academic year.

Families will be given one week to accept the offer and return the Acceptance Agreement together with the Deposit Fee. If places are not accepted, we will move down the list of registrations.

Year 1-6 Admissions

Places may be available in other year groups and parents are advised to contact the school to ascertain the situation. The children are invited to spend the day with a class within their current year group. Places are offered in Years 1 to 6 on a date of registration basis, using the same priorities as above.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ALTER OUR ADMISSIONS ARRANGEMENTS AND CRITERIA AT ANY TIME.
