At Oakfield we offer comprehensive wraparound care which is helpful to parents and helps ensure childrens' minds and bodies are fed before and after school hours. Early Birds Club and after school clubs are available to all children from Nursery through to Year 6.
Early Birds Club starts at 7.40am each weekday morning during term time and children can enjoy various recreational games and activities under the supervision of qualified members of staff. A healthy and hearty breakfast sets each child up for the day ahead. Breakfast includes porridge, cereals, toast, eggs, fruit, yoghurt and juices, while on Friday pastries are also available.
Early Birds Club is held in the hall of the Prep School for all children. Entry is via the front fire-door down the steps from the car park to the hall.
Open to pupils from nursery to year 6, the After School Care and Homework Clubs operate weekly from Monday to Friday except on the last day of term. These run from 3.45pm to 6.00pm (or from 4.45-6.00pm following co-curricular activities).
Light refreshments of sandwiches, fruit and drinks are included. Years 2 - 6 spend the first-hour doing supervised homework if required. Activities will include games (indoors and out), board games, constructional toys, art and craft activities and use of computers. Children should be collected promptly from the After School Club room by 6.00pm.
