Oakfield's Vision and Values

At Oakfield we strive to ensure each child develops to be the best that they can be and learns to appreciate and value their own strengths.

We challenge our children to promote growth. We nurture the courageous learner, the questioner and the learner who is willing to take intellectual risks, make mistakes and learn from them.

We aim to educate the whole child with all their idiosyncrasies; finding their strength, developing their talents and personalities to equip them for their future lives and thereby building the right foundations for being the best that they can be.

At Oakfield we aim to:

CARECHALLENGEINSPIRE
  • by showing and encouraging mutual respect
  • by responding to the needs of all members of our community
  • by creating a learning environment which fosters enquiry and excitement
  • by delivering a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum
  • by promoting excellence
  • by encouraging our children to be the best that they can be

We want our pupils to enter the constantly developing world as natural enthusiasts and active, confident participants who will be an example to others. There is no ceiling to our expectations or our ambitions for our community. A family ethos permeates everything that we do.

Respect features strongly and is something we learn from each other. The school belongs to all of us and thus we share the responsibility and the enjoyment.

We are part of the Education Development Trust family of schools. Every school within that family knows how critical it is to have a challenging curriculum. Our curriculum is broad-based: to facilitate the acquisition of knowledge; to promote the enjoyment of learning; and to foster understanding of another language. At Oakfield we also provide skills to equip pupils for the rigours of 11+ entry to London Day Schools

There is no ceiling to our expectations or our ambitions for our community. A family ethos permeates everything that we do.
